ABOUT CIRC DELAWARE

The Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of New Castle County, Delaware is a non-profit organization which brings together members of the Delaware Valley community who are in a variety of fields relating to commercial and industrial real estate. Our meetings allow a forum for members and their guests to network and keep abreast of the latest real estate and business transactions in the community.

Included in our membership, but not limited to this group, are commercial and industrial brokers, property managers, appraisers, architects, engineers, attorneys, construction managers, real estate consultants, corporate real estate managers, developers, economic development specialists, interior designers/space planners, leasing agents, lenders, utility/energy service specialists, and others.

ORGANIZATION

CIRC is organized by a board of directors composed of volunteers from its membership. This board arranges for speakers, contacts members of the state legislature on issues of concern to the membership, arranges courses for credit toward continuing education, and coordinates with similar organizations for joint meetings.

MEETINGS

We meet each month from January to June and September to December. Lunch meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. with networking social time, followed by lunch at noon, running until 1:30. We usually have a speaker address a topic of mutual interest to the membership. The location of meetings varies and is announced on the invitation form, which is sent out by email or facsimile within two weeks of each event. Attendees are requested to RSVP the week before the meeting by FAX, E-MAIL, or MAIL. Cancellations must be received a minimum of 48 hours in advance to avoid payment in full. Payment is due by cash or check, and may be mailed or paid "at the door."

DUES

Annual Membership dues are $80 per individual and apply to the individual only, not the company. CIRC's fiscal year begins in the month of January when checks for annual membership are due. Members can also renew online for a discount before 12/31 or at the full rate after 1/1 of each calendar year.

Guests and non-members are always welcome to attend our luncheons, dinners and other events. Non-member meal fees and education classes are slightly higher than that charged to members for events attended.

INQUIRIES

Questions about membership, requests for our mailing list or lease documents, questions about upcoming events, continuing education classes, etc. should be directed to our business manager, Janet Sharpless Pippert, by phone (302) 633-1705 or e-mail janet[at]circdelaware.org.
