Register Today for March Meeting

March 14 Membership Lunch & Networking

Registration for next Wednesday's lunch meeting at the Clarion Belle Hotel got off to a late start. We would really appreciate if you would take a minute now to check your schedule and register if you have not already done so already.

We believe our program this month is especially important for DEVELOPERS, OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, BUILDERS, ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS and others who have a stake in and can benefit from seeing more commercial construction able to move forward in the county.

New Castle County Executive Paul G. Clark will talk about his New jobs Initiative and other programs and points of interest.

Our lunch menu has a St. Patty's Day flair with Corned Beef and Cabbage, as well as Cod Fish for those not eating meat and plenty for vegetarians as well.

REGISTER using the link below, or go to the Meeting/Events page of our website at, or sent an email to and an invoice will be sent to you.

A Fond Farewell to Jayne Armstrong, SBA District Director

Greg Ellis, CIRC President, awarded Jayne Armstrong with a plaque commemorating CIRC's appreciation for her great service to the commercial and industrial real estate community in Delaware, through her support and tireless promotion of the SBA's 504 loan program.

At our February Membership meeting, Jayne Armstrong and Michael Rossi, of the Delaware District U.S. Small Business Administration office, provided an informative and interesting presentation about their small businesse successes, programs, and the benefits of the 504 commercial real estate loan program.

Jayne Armstrong, announced she was leaving for a similar post in Richmond, Virginia. Armstrong, who arrived at the Delaware job in 1999, will be director of the SBA's Virginia district office. She is relocating to Richmond this month.

"It's time to move on to a new challenge, and I'm kind of driven by challenges" Jayne said. Before coming to Delaware, Armstrong was district director of the agency's West Virginia district office. She also served as regional advocate for the Office of Advocacy, where she organized the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business.

The SBA provides advice, advocacy and financial assistance for small businesses. See oversaw a team of eight and was the first district director in Delaware.

The Delaware SBA office will continue to operate with its experienced staff. If you have questions, contact Mike Rossi or Natalie Hall for assistance.
