Summer Greetings from CIRC
We hope you are enjoying well-deserved vacations and great family time this summer while we take our regular CIRC summer hiatus.
Committee members with the Programming, headed by John Birmingham at Cushman-Wakefield of Delaware, and the Membership, headed by Jim Manna at BrightFields, will take time out of their busy schedules this summer to plan for the second half of the year in order to have meaningful meetings and speakers and to welcome new and prospective members.
Remember that -- at our core (since 1976) -- CIRC is a commercial and industrial REAL ESTATE organization, and, as such, we encourage all real estate practitioners to keep their individual memberships current and to stay involved in this great trade association now in its 36th Year!
SAVE THE DATE for our next lunch meeting which will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at the Clarion Belle Hotel.
See you then...tan and well rested, I hope!
P.S. We would like to thank - again - all of our wonderful sponsors that supported our June 11 Annual Golf Outing at DuPont Country Club and our future programming. Take a look at our Golf Sponsor webpage and remember to reach out and do business with fellow members whenever possible!
Join us for the 3rd Annual Delaware KIDS FUND 5K
A message from our Friends at The Delaware KIDS Fund:
Friends, Family & Colleagues:
Good afternoon and hope everyone is enjoying the summer! I wanted to send out a note as a friendly reminder for the 3rd Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K (Presented by ARS Fleet Services, Drinker Biddle and in Partnership with UnitedHealthcare Community Plan). The event is fast approaching and will be held on Saturday, August 4th in Historic Newport, starting and ending at James Street Tavern.
I have attached a web link for info on the race, the registration page link, PDF of the event brochure and the opportunity to donate online, if you can’t make the event on August 4th.
The event benefits our very own non-profit, The Delaware KIDS Fund (Kids In Distressed Situations). Over the past few years, our top priority and mission has been tackling the hunger issue in our own back yard with Delaware KIDS. Over 120,000 Delaware kids consistently struggle to receive the proper nourishment they need to go on and live their lives to the fullest. It’s such a fundamental issue and still an ongoing problem in all of our communities.
I invite you all to join the cause on Saturday August 4th! If you are heading to the beach that Saturday morning, maybe hold off for an hour and get a good walk or run in, for a good cause J. As always, thanks for the continued support.
We hope to see you bright and early on Saturday, August 4th! Please feel free to pass along to your networks.
All the best!

UD Real Estate Symposium Follow Up
For those who attend this terrific real estate event, you'll know...but if you didn't, you may want to add this to your calendar of events for next June.
Here is a follow up message from CIRC member David Wilk, who is behind this event. Note that they did get CE credit approval, so agents and brokers should follow up with David via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org to get your CE certificate.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Thank you so much for your attendance at our UD Symposium on June 14th and it has been so hectic since, I am sorry for not following up sooner with a note of gratitude and appreciation for all your efforts in joining us.
I hope that all of you enjoyed the event and we were very fortunate to have such great guest speakers, including the Governor and UD Dean Weber. The only thing that I was surprised by was how fast our time together went, and I only wish Dr. Hartzell could have started a little earlier. But that allows us to bring him in again for another program hopefully before the end of the year.
We did receive CE credit approval for the two hour event, so for those of you who would like a CE form for your records, please reply via email and I will send one over to you.
Thank you again for making our event a huge success and I look forward to our continued collaboration and exchange of “value-add” ideas for today’s market.
All the best,
David J. Wilk, CRE, MAI
