Scoring A Problem
Sorry, but upon consulting the Golf Pro, we determined that scoring could not be done in a meaningful way due to the limited, and varied, number of holes played. We apologize, and promise to try and make it up to you next year!
Don Robitzer did get a hole in one on the Regus Golf Challenge, and we also heard of some amazing shots, like Bert's Eagle on 15? and some nice CTP shots as well. Keep playing and next year do the same thing all over again!
LOST & FOUND
We found a BLACK Champion jacket and a WHITE (ladies?) golf glove? If you know who these belong to, contact Janet at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 302-633-1705.
It Was All for the KIDS!
It makes it all worth it when you know you did something good for the KIDS - that's the Delaware KIDS Fund ... for "Kids In Distressed Situations."
Thank you for your charitable contributions! We are pleased to report that, with your help, about $2050 in donations will go to a very good cause this year.
SAVE THE DATE: August 3, 2013 for 5K Run/Walk
Follow the link below for more info or to Register for the Delaware KIDS Fund's 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk on August 3 starting at the James Street Tavern in Newport.
Thanks to our Photographers...
Pat Forester, of STAT Office Solutions, and Janet Killian, of Gemini Janitorial Systems, braved the elements, taking all but about two foursome's official photos.
They persevered and delivered framed foursome photos to the dinner. The ones that were not picked up at the outing, Janet will mail to the lead person in your group.
Two Presidents Play Golf...
Out-going CIRC president Greg Ellis (far left with Erich Bollman, Andy Fox, and Jim Manna) and John Birmingham, incoming CIRC president (on left side of Dave Heaney's foursome).
Members & guests enjoy the sunny parts of the day
Golfers finished at least eight holes below fair skies before the first outburst, and there were other sporadic clearings...and we ended the dinner in bright sunshine.
When it Rains...It's Party Time!
A little rain never stopped this crowd from having a good time. Who needs an excuse, anyway, for a Beer & Pretzel stop? MidCoast's guest caught this picture of Jeremy Abelson slogging forward after the rain.
Swinging in the Rain...Nothing can stop this crazy Applied Bank golfer!
Guest, Steve Embler, caught this photo of Applied Bank's Nate Edmunds chipping out of the newly created lake-front property on DuPont Country Club's 18th hole. Later, there were reportedly Ark sightings in the area.
Waiting out the Rain...
Golfers took refuge during the first downpour in good spirits. After the second deluge, play was called, and Happy Hour, sponsored by IFS, and Cocktails sponsored by Gemini Janitorial, Smith Realty, Karins and Associates, and Pennoni Associates, opened to continue play... Then dinner sponsored by WSFS Bank was served.
Golfers are looking forward to coming back to DuPont Country Club to finish their rounds at their convenience.
