Huffy & Register NOW for May 13 Membership Luncheon

Plan to attend our Annual Meeting & Election held as part of our next Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, May 13, at The Belle.

Keynote speech will be offered by Paula Swain, Executive Vice President/Human Resources for Incyte Corporation. Paula will talk about Incyte: what they are doing, how they are succeeding, and how they came to take up residence near the Augustine Cut Off in Wilmington in the former "John Wannamaker's" building (for those of you who have been around long enough to remember).

A luncheon buffet with salad and multiple selections, including two entrees, will be available. If you have special dietary needs, please advise Janet when registering.

Annual Meeting & Board Election

The CIRC Board is made up of 14 Directors serving two-year terms, with half expiring in alternate years.  The following Directors have a two-year term currently expiring on June 30, 2015.

  5. Jeremy Abelson, MidCoast Community Bank

  6. Daniel Lesher, Patterson Woods & Associates (Education Chair) *

  7. Jim O’Hara, Jr., NAI Emory Hill

* The Board would like to thank all of its Directors, but especially Kathi Silicato, a CPA with Gunnip & Company, who has served as Treasurer, and Dan Lesher, of Patterson-Woods, who has served at Education Chair and will not run for renewal of a new term. These two members have contributed greatly over the past several years, bringing much professionalism and improvements in our accounting system and continuing education offerings to CIRC members. We look forward to their continued involvement in CIRC and assistance to their successors.

The Nomination Committee, chaired by president John Birmingham, has presented the following Slate of Directors for Election to a new two-year term from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017:

Golf Outing in Full Swing for June 29 at Hartefeld

A waiting list will be maintained after we have reached 120 golfers. If you wish to register only one or two golfers, you may do that. We will do the pairings close to the date of the event, unless you so advise your preferred pairing.

Our charity will be the Delaware KIDS Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization that helps children in Delaware.  We are offering the discounted pre-purchase of our PASSPORT to a day of fun on the course. This Charity Fun Pack will cost $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event. Our sponsorships that included a foursome have the PASSPORTs included.

50-50 Raffle for Miss Delaware United States 2015

50-50 Cash Raffle tickets will be sold at the May 13 meeting and proceeds will help CIRC's own, Emily Drake of NAI Emory Hill,Miss Delaware United States 2015, in her quest to be crowned Miss United States in July 2015!

This will likely be CIRC's only chance for bragging rights for a Miss United States candidate (no offense, ladies :-) and we hope to send her off on June 29th to Washington, D.C. with a litte help from her friends at CIRC.

With this title, Emily spends much of her time and talent on helping to celebrate girls with disabilities to to build self confidence through her involvement with "Delaware Miss Amazing Pageant," a national, non-profit organization.
