Upcoming CIRC and APG BRAC Events of Interest
September 23 - Next CIRC Meeting
The first lunch meeting back after our summer break will be on September 23 (a Tuesday!), at the Chase Center on the Riverfront (where we will hold many of our lunch meetings this coming year). Gubernatorial candidates have been invited (whomever they are after the September 9 Primary) to speak about their plans to be Governor.
The "Next Meeting" Registration Form is currenly not working properly and we should have it repaired shortly. In the meantime, you can view all of our Upcoming Events at the link included here, or by going to the Meetings/Upcoming Events page.

October 25 - 2nd Visit Delaware Day - Exhibit Booths Available
Attending CIRC members and New Castle County official both report that the June 28 Visit Delaware Day was a big success. So big, that a second event on October 25 at Embassy Suites Newark is planned. For a limited time, three (3) Vendor Tables have been offered (on a first come basis) to members of CIRC for $600 each. If you are interested, contact Jennifer Banning at jenniferbanning@emoryhill.com for more information and registration form. (She attended the last Visit Delaware event and can tell you whatever you need to know.)
Oct. 3 - Chesapeake Science & Security Corridor 2008 APG BRAC Update
A one-day conference on BRAC implementation is being held at Richlin Conference Center, in Edgewood/Harford County, Maryland on Friday, October 3. New Castle County has been asked to present on BRAC developments, as will other local county governements. You can register with CSSC online for a discounted rate through 9/15/08 ($89) and the price goes up from 9/16 to 9/29/08 ($109).
This is not a CIRC event, but Karl Kalbacher, New Castle County Redevelopment Director and CIRC Ex-officio Board Director reports this conference will have information on capital projects being undertaken by counties proximate to the APG, and that this will be a good opportunity to learn about contract opportunities and planning activities for the 2011 APG BRAC expansion.
