May 1 Visit Delaware Relocation Fair

May 1, 2010 - Visit Delaware Day Relocation Fair and Residential Tours.  

 

Event Location: Embassy Suites Hotel in Newark (off Rt. 896 and Rt. 4). 

Time: 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Sponsored by: New Castle County

 

The event will include 3 hours of exhibitor time (10:00 - 1:00) and 3.5 hours of residential touring (1:00 - 4:30 p.m.). 

The Home Builders Association of Delaware, New Castle County Board of Realtors, and the Delaware Apartment Association (and possibly others) will be sponsoring bus tours of houses/communities and apartments. 

 

Some CIRC members (Emory Hill and Pettinaro Relocation) will have a presence with vendor booths at this event.

May 10 - Participate in Final BRAC Event in New Jersey

May 10, 2010, Delaware BRAC Task Force will be hosting a luncheon for the Commercial Defense Contractors at Ft. Monmouth as the transition to Aberdeen Proving Ground reaches its final stages.

Governor Jack Markell and County Executive Chris Coons will be inviting the contractors to attend. They will have as their guest speaker Dr. David Weir, the Director of University of Delaware’s Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships (OEIP). Dr. Weir has a wealth of knowledge and experience as a professor, chemist, and founding director of the Delaware Biotech Institute. His office at OEIP has taken a large role in coordinating efforts between the University of Delaware, local businesses, the Army, and local government.
