REGISTER today for our "Back to School" September 11 membership lunch meeting. Arrive early to get the most out a great networking opportunity to reconnect with friends and business associates after the long, hot summer before being seated for lunch, a brief Property Reassessment Update and a panel discussion concerning what we can do to create dynamic environments for Delaware''s future workforce.
Creating Dynamic Environments for Delaware's Future Workforce: Delaware's population is aging quickly, and we are losing many young, successful professionals due to a variety of factors. Young professionals want interesting, mixed-use, walkable and bikeable areas with live, work/remote work, and play environments as well as good jobs. Additionally, many empty nesters want the same thing. As you may know, there are many exciting developments in the region that are creating vibrant “live/work/play” mixed-use areas. We are fortunate to have Mike Hare from BPG joining us to share his company’s efforts and successes in creating these dynamic communities. Additionally, Sean Park will highlight Wilmington's initiatives to attract young talent, especially from the perspective of the new Mayor. Becky Harrington will provide insights into what the Delaware Prosperity Partnership and the State of Delaware are doing, more broadly, to attract and retain not only young professionals but also burgeoning successful businesses.
We hope you will join us for an exciting conversation!
