About CIRC Delaware

The Commercial-Industrial Realty Council of New Castle County (CIRC) is a non-profit organization which brings together members of the Delaware Valley community who are in a variety of fields relating to commercial and industrial real estate. Our meetings allow a forum for members and their guests, and others interested in joining, to network and keep abreast of the latest real estate and business transactions in the community.

Included in our membership, but not limited to this group, are commercial and industrial brokers, property managers, appraisers, architects, engineers, attorneys, construction managers, real estate consultants, corporate real estate managers, developers, economic development specialists, interior designers/space planners, leasing agents, lenders, utility/energy service specialists, and vendors and others closely related to commercial real estate.

ORGANIZATION

CIRC is organized by a board of directors composed of volunteers from its membership. This board arranges for speakers, contacts members of the state legislature on issues of concern to the membership, arranges courses for credit toward real estate licensing continuing education, and coordinates with similar organizations for joint meetings and networking opportunities.

MEETINGS
We meet each month from January to June and September to December. Lunch meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. with networking social time, followed by lunch at noon, running until 1:30. We typically have a speaker or panelists address a topic of mutual interest to the membership. The location of meetings varies and is detailed on the Events registration page on the website. An announcement will be sent out by email within two weeks of each event. Attendees are requested to RSVP by the Friday before the meeting by using our ONLINE REGISTRATION, by E-MAIL, or MAIL. Cancellations must be received a minimum of 48 hours in advance to avoid payment in full. Payment is due on or before the event by credit card payment made online, mailing a check, or bringing cash/check to the door.

DUES
Annual Membership dues are $100 per individual and apply to the individual only, not the company. CIRC's membership renewal is due January 1. Members can renew online by December 15 to receive a $10 discount or at the full rate after January 1 of each calendar year. Online Profiles, Standard Member Directory, Business Directory, and membership benefits become inactive on February 28 if not renewed in a timely manner.

Guests and non-members are welcome to attend our luncheons, dinners and other events on occasion. Non-member rates for meal fees and education classes are slightly higher than that charged to members for events attended.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
To join, CIRC has a two-step process: 1) attend an event as a non-member and arrive early to attend a Prospective Member "Meet & Greet," and, if you still think that CIRC is a good fit, go to the "Membership" tab on the website and fill out the form to Join. The Membership Committee approves new membership applications quarterly before an invoice is submitted for payment.

TAX INFORMATION
CIRC is registered as a 501(c)6 non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. As such, donations to CIRC are not tax deductible. Our EIN is 52-1756433. If a W9 form is needed, please send your request to ExecDirector@circdelaware.com
